Notes

Each game's window runs from kickoff to 3.5 hours later.

A reading is not a single moment. The Watch saves each one with a start time, an end time, and one value for the whole stretch. In this data, 95% of readings cover 29 to 30 minutes. Apple says the Health app shows high, low, and average sound levels over periods of time, but its public Noise app guides don't spell out how a reading's value is worked out, so treat it as roughly the average for that stretch. Short bursts are louder than any reading here. On Sept 27, 2026 the Health app showed 118 dB at 2:52 PM, inside a reading that exports as 100.1 dB.

The three-highest average is there because a single loud stretch can set the highest reading by itself. Averaging the top three shows whether the game stayed loud. Every game with data has at least eight readings in its window.

The dashed line is 100 dB. Apple says even a few minutes a day at that level can cause temporary hearing loss. Apple Support The Watch records wherever it is, so these are stadium numbers only if it was at the game.

Most 2019 games have no reading. Nothing was recorded during the Sept 18, 2025 or Sept 17, 2026 night games. The Nov 20, 2022 Browns game was a home game moved to Detroit by snow. The 2023 Jaguars game in London isn't counted. Stadiums were mostly empty in 2020.
